I was the Founding Director of the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Peshawar Campus.
I remained the Head of the Department of Computer Science, University of Peshawar, for 13 years.
I taught in Al-Isra University, Jordan, for 3 years (1995-1998).
I taught more than 20 different courses of computer science including Natural Language Processing and Corpus Linguistics.
I supervise research and developmental projects for the past 27 years.
My research interests include Machine Translation, Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics.
EDUCATION
I did my PhD in Machine Translation and MSc. in Software Techniques for the Computer Aided Engineering from Cranfield University UK. Earlier, I had done MSc in Computer Science from Quid-e-Azam University Islamabad.
CONFERENCES/SEMINARS ORGANIZED/ATTENDED
I attended and organized many conferences, seminars and training programs. I also attended a lot of professional training programs.
MEMBERSHIP
I am a member of Boards of Studies and Selection Boards in Various Institutes/Universities. Remained as a member, National Review Committee for Computer Studies, Curriculum Wing, Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan, 1995-96 (and 2000). I was a member of PTCL R & D Fund Committee. I am a member of National Computing Education Accreditation Council, HEC.
VISITS
I have visited various countries mostly for study and research.
